Our Lady of Perpetual Help

Our Lady of Perpetual Help, also known as Our Lady of Perpetual Succor, was the parish church of the Ring family at the turn of the Twentieth Century. The Ring's lived at 5227 N. 20th Street, next door to the church convent. It was founded as a German parish in 1874 and the main church was constructed in 1888 at 2011 East Linton Avenue*. On December 14, 1987 lighting struck the steeple during a snowstorm, igniting a fire that destroyed the church. The parish closed in 1992, becoming part of Most Holy Trinity.
