Tell them it runs in the family. Despite the stereotype of German punctuality, here is a funny little article from the St. Louis Post Dispatch about Emil Niehaus arriving late to court. It originally appeared on page 2 of the paper on March 25, 1902. (Note I believe there is a typo in the article and that W. H. Niehaus is actually Frank Niehaus. The only W. H. Niehaus in St. Louis at the time of the article was a hardware store clerk.)
