Georgiana Sweetin 1889-1969

Georgiana Sweetin was born on May 12, 1889 in Cuba, MO. She was the ninth child of William Sweetin and Mary Ellen McInerney. She married Levi Lafayette Beezley on Wednesday, November 2, 1910 at her parents’ home. The couple first moved to Oak Ridge, but then came back to Crawford County where Levi owned a farm in Meramec Township.

The couple had eight daughters before finally having a son. Georgiana was a housewife, and spent much of her life devoted to her nine children. She had her first child at 22 and her last at 41.

Levi passed away on April 26, 1964. Georgiana died five years later on June 9, 1969 at the age of 80. She was buried with her husband at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
