One of the earliest confirmed pieces of Doherty History is the baptismal record of Denis Doherty. Denis was baptized in May of 1861 in the parish of Carracastle which is in County Mayo, Ireland. Both his parents Owen Doherty and Margaret Jordan are listed as well as two unknown sponsors, John and Mary Doherty. The entry can be found at the top of the right page.
